Live Shows
Come and celebrate 100 years of fun with us! This year marks
the 100th anniversary of the PNE. This 17-day annual tradition
will run from August 21 to September 6. This year’s Fair will
feature over 800 performances for kids and families such as
daily and nightly concerts, kids shows, daily parade, cultural
programming, Superdogs, and several great new attractions.
Be sure to catch all these great live shows that celebrate
local talent as well as talent from around the world. All shows
are FREE with admission!
The Dal Richards Orchestra

A Vancouver legend, Dal Richards continues to
swing his orchestra of talented musicians in a blend
of unique sounds that capture the best of the big
band era, along with jazz, rock and pop standards
from the 1930s to today. For nearly seven decades,
Dal has enlightened fairgoers with his unique and
memorable music. Dance in the sun or grab a bite to
eat and simply relax to the big band sounds of the
Dal Richards Orchestra.

Orchestra
Beloved musician, singer, painter
and television personality makes his return to
Vancouver. Rolf Harris, famous for his song “Tie Me
Kangaroo Down Sport” with his didgeridoo and wobble
board will entertain audiences for a special one-day
only appearance on August 26th at 1pm on the PNE
Concert Stage. Vancouver has loved Rolf Harris for
decades, as part of the PNE’s 100th Anniversary, we
are pleased to welcome him back to Vancouver.
Red Robinson’s Talent Showdown
Aug 22 - 25 at 3:30pm
Hosted by Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame DJ Red Robinson, this crowd favorite brings out BC’s best talent! Featuring three days of semi-finalist competition, with performers from all age groups, the top three performers from each day of competition will advance to the all-ages final on Aug 25th. With $10,000 in prizes to be won, this competition will keep you on the edge of your seat. Be sure to check out Red Robinson’s Talent Showdown!
KC’s Concerts

KC’s Concerts brings all the hottest acts for the younger generation to the afternoon Concert Stage. Embark on journey with Shrek and Fiona from “Shrek – Stompin’ the Swamp”. Join the Backyardigans as they make their PNE debut along with returning favourites Doodlebops and from Treehouse, Bobs & Lolo.
Summer Night Concerts
Daily at 8:00pm
A summer full of the
best music! From the classic rock of Joan Jett & The
Blackhearts, and the country beats of Terri Clark, to
the smooth melodies of Michael Bolton, there is a
musical performer for everyone. Don’t miss pop
sensation Cyndi Lauper, and legendary icons Los
Lobos and Little River Band as they fill the
fairgrounds with their timeless hits. Or, take in
“Mr. Las Vegas”, Wayne Newton as he serenades the
crowd. Looking for a little more rock ‘n roll, check
out Huey Lewis and The News, and Kevin Costner and
Modern West. Remember to join local favourites
Trooper, Spirit of the West and Mariana’s Trench as
they celebrate the Best of BC. No matter the night,
the Summer Night Concerts promise to keep you
singing and dancing as you keep coming back for
more.

A giant celebration of the PNE’s 100th
Anniversary! With innovative projection and
state-of-the-art lighting, embark on a high tech
trip through one hundred years of PNE History. From
the 1910 Grand Opening to the crazy days of Elvis
Presley and The Beatles to the grooves of disco,
this pyro musical spectacular will transport you
through the sights, sounds and music of the past
century.

AGRODOME
To celebrate its
Centennial year, the PNE once
again welcomes the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Come and watch our National icons perform some of
the most difficult maneuvers in the equine world!
Neighbourhood Showcase

FESTIVAL SQUARE
An annual fair favorite! Over
100 local community groups will grace the stage to
delight fairgoers with their showcase of talents and
skills. A great place to relax and unwind, enjoy a
variety of exhilarating music, dynamic dancers and
special guests. The best of the Lower Mainland’s
established and emerging talent, enjoy Festival
Square.
Art in the Park
FESTIVAL SQUARE
Back by popular demand – this
interactive art experience is not to be missed.
Embrace your artistic side, as you try your hand at
Art Cars, painting one of the cars set up around the
area. Don’t miss the chance to discover your inner
artist - head on up to Festival Square.

CELEBRATION PLAZA
A legendary
experience, this fair favourite is filled with
unforgettable feats of strength, agility and speed.
Full of splashing, sawdust and laughter, this action
packed adventure is not to be missed. Complete with
log rolling, axe throwing and a climbing
spectacular, these notorious lumberjacks will
compete daily in the spirit of fun, fair and
friendly competition. Don’t miss the Lumberjack Show,
live in Celebration Plaza.

It’s party time in the middle of
Celebration Plaza! Stop by Tributes for an evening
of the biggest hits in rock and roll courtesy of
your favourite tribute artists. From Tina Turner &
Rod Stewart to Neil Diamond and The Beatles, soak up
the atmosphere as you grab a drink and stay awhile.
Afterward, keep your Fair experience going long into
the night while guest DJ’s spin their scratch tracks
with the hottest music.

Peking Acrobats

FAMILY THEATRE
Combining centuries of Chinese history and folklore
with 21st century technology and special effects,
the Peking Acrobats bring all the excitement and
festive pageantry of a Chinese Spectacular to the
Fair. From treacherous wire-walking to
trick-cycling, precision tumbling, astonishing
juggling and maneuvers atop a precarious pagoda of
chairs, the Peking Acrobats are a must-see
attraction. Be sure to catch these masters of
agility and grace as they defy gravity with amazing
displays of contortion, flexibility and control and
push the envelope of human possibility.

PACIFIC COLISEUM
Back for the 33rd consecutive year, this marquee
attraction is ready to enthrall audiences of all
ages with crazy canine stunts. With wagging tails,
upbeat music and stunning spectacles, the World’s
Most Popular Dogs will keep children and families
laughing and cheering throughout the show.
Canadian Navy Centennial Tattoo
September 4th at 1pm & 4pm
PACIFIC COLISEUM
A celebration of the Canadian Navy’s 100th
Anniversary, watch the most prestigious
international military bands put on a spectacular
show. Featuring the Britain’s Band of HM Royal
Marines, the US Marine Corps Band, The Seaforth
Highlanders and the Vancouver Police Pipe Band.
Enjoy their traditional music and military drill as
they toast to the both Navy and the PNE’s
Centennial. Performing for one day only, be sure not
to miss it.
100th Anniversary PNE Parade at English Bay, August 20
This year, we are presenting a
special downtown PNE Parade to celebrate our 100th
Anniversary! Bring your family and come watch the 100th
Anniversary PNE Parade as it travels through English Bay
the evening before the Fair on Friday, August 20.

KC Bear’s Street Party

Come join a street party for all the
little ones in the family. Hosted by the PNE’s own
KC Bear, this is the perfect time to meet and greet
Clifford the Big Red Dog, Curious George, SuperWhy
and all your favorite PNE characters. Don’t forget
your camera and your smile, as you get ready to have
some fun!

Watch The Fair at the PNE come to
life with a birthday party celebration that is 100
years in the making. Once a day, this site-wide
parade will “paint the town” with 100 Years of Fun.
A great time for the family, don’t miss the music,
dance, crazy characters and outrageous celebration
of the PNE’s 100th Birthday.

Street Stars
Several Times daily at Miller Driver, Marketplace
Junction and Prize Home Corner
Featuring the
hottest street performers from around the world,
this year’s line up promises not to disappoint. Make
sure you catch them all, from The Silly People, The
Chairmen and The Groovy Guy Show to Minnie Maniac
and Equilibrium Circus. Laugh it up with Mr. Robb
and Jardu – The Magic of India, The Checkerboard Guy
and Mike Battie.

HASTINGS PARK SANCTUARY
An eco-friendly music experience
During The
Fair at the PNE, take a short break from the crowds
and join us inside the Hastings Park Sanctuary where
the best of nature and world music awaits you. Every
afternoon, spend some relaxing time in a peaceful
urban wilderness listening to the rhythm of world
beats. Featuring the acoustic ecobeats of local
artists, take in the birds, plants, trees, flowers,
aquatic life and more in this green oasis.
