For a break from the hustle and bustle of the midway, stop by Farm Country and relax into a showcase of BC Agriculture! Many old favourites are returning to the Big Red Barns and we are working on some exciting new exhibits to entertain and educate about all that Agriculture has to offer!

We have a large variety of agriculture exhibits including all types of farm animals from cute baby chicks to all kinds of beautiful horses. Returning favourites include The horse stables, Tractor Alley, and the popular Kids Discovery Farm presented in partnership with Safeway! While you are with us, visit the Country Market and Honey Store, where lots of local BC products will be featured once again.
The largest variety of barn animals found in Vancouver
The PNE brings it all to you! Visitors can see and interact with so many different types of animals it will make your head spin! Llamas, alpacas, rabbits, horses (big and small), cows of all varieties, chickens, ducks, fancy birds, sheep, pigs (with piglets!), goats and more! The best way to experience and learn about all these wonderful animals is by catching our friendly and knowledgeable Farm Hand demonstrations as they educate you about all the different animals!
Agriculture in the City – returning exhibit
Come by the barn and learn about how you can incorporate Urban Agriculture into your own lifestyle! Learn about various components of Urban Agriculture including: Backyard Bees, Backyard Chickens, Community Gardening, and Composting! Come and learn all sorts of ways you can produce your own food in the city and reduce your environmental footprint by recycling your food scraps!
Tons of barn fun for the kids!
Kids can try their hand at becoming a ‘farmer for an hour’ in the Kids Discovery Farm presented in partnership with Safeway, showcasing 10 sectors of agriculture with different interactive activities! Try your hand at milking a cow, pedaling a tractor, collecting eggs and harvesting apples in this exciting exhibit! Since its premier in 2009, this fun-filled activity has received rave reviews and continues to be even better each year!
Come and learn about the lifecycle of a chicken at the Poultry in Motion Educational Mini Barn presented in partnership with BC Chicken Growers’ Association and BC Hatching Egg Producers Association and check out the Honey Bee Exhibit and Store with daily honey extraction demonstrations, weekend Bee Beard shows, live wasp displays and an opportunity to buy amazing BC honey! You can also stop by to watch a dairy milking demonstration proudly presented by BC Dairy and try your hand at some interactive dairy industry educational games! Come check out the different types of birds in Poultry Alley and learn about raising backyard chickens in Vancouver! And certainly last but not least Richard’s Racers are returning to Farm Country to carry on their long standing tradition! We hope you will watch a show and cheer the piggies on!
