Q: What is the recruitment process for year-round permanent roles?
A: At PNE, we take pride in ensuring our recruitment process is transparent, thorough, and designed to identify individuals who will thrive in our unique environment. Our recruitment journey for year-round permanent roles typically follows these steps:
- Submit Your Application: The first step in our process is to visit our Careers Page to browse through our open year-round positions. Once you’ve found a role that aligns with your skills and interests, you can submit your application, which should include your resume and a tailored cover letter. We encourage you to highlight any relevant experience.
- Pre-Screening: After reviewing your application, our recruitment team will conduct an initial screening to evaluate your qualifications and suitability for the role. This stage may include assessing your experience, education, and skills relevant to the position.
- Phone Screening: If you meet the qualifications for the role, one of our recruitment team members will contact you to schedule a phone interview. During this call, we will discuss your professional background in more detail, ask about your career goals, and explore how you align with PNE’s values. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the role or the team.
- Interview (Virtual or In-Person): If you are successful in the phone screening, you will be invited to participate in a formal interview. Depending on your location and the nature of the role, this could be either virtual (via Microsoft Teams) or in-person.
- References and Background Check: After a successful interview, we will request professional references and conduct a background check to ensure that you are a great fit for our team and meet the necessary criteria for employment.
- Offer and Agreement: If you are selected for the role, we will extend a verbal offer, followed by a written offer detailing the terms of employment. Once you accept, we will guide you through the next steps of the onboarding process.
- Onboarding: Upon accepting the offer, you will be provided with details on completing our online new hire orientation. This includes reviewing PNE policies, submitting necessary documentation (e.g., tax forms, employment agreements), and completing training modules.

Q: Do I need to bring anything to the interview?
A: Whether your interview is virtual or in-person, we want to make sure you feel comfortable and prepared for the experience. Here’s what to expect:
Virtual Interview:
There is no need to bring anything physical with you to the virtual interview, but please make sure your technology is ready to go. Ensure that your device’s webcam, microphone, and speakers/headphones are working properly ahead of time. We recommend performing a quick test prior to your interview to avoid any technical issues.
Dress professionally as if you were attending an in-person interview. While you’re not required to bring physical documents, you may want to have your resume and the job description on hand in case you’d like to reference them during the discussion.
In-Person Interview:
For an in-person interview at PNE, you don’t need to bring anything unless specifically instructed by the recruitment team. You are welcome to bring a copy of your resume and cover letter, but it’s not mandatory as we will have your application on file.
Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes ahead of your scheduled interview time. We recommend wearing business casual attire to present a professional image.
