Can I bring my pet to the PNE Fair?

Animals are not allowed inside the Park with the exception of Service Animals for guests with disabilities with proper documentation.

Where are the ATMs located?

ATMs are located at both Guest Service Centres, the Pacific Coliseum, Agrodome Plaza, the Marketplace, PNE Amphitheatre, behind Playland Guest Services and in front of Pizza Pizza in Playland. Please visit Guest Services for a map with all ATM locations. Please note US cash is not available.

Where should I park my bike?

Bike racks, without valet service, are available outside Gates 5 and 13. Bicycle valet service is available inside Gate 1 (corner of Hastings & Renfrew St.). The PNE’s bicycle valet is a friendly and convenient bicycle parking service—completely free-of-charge.

When is the best time to visit the PNE Fair?

Historically, weekends are the busiest days at The Fair. If you have flexibility in your plans consider visiting us on a weekday, when access to rides and/or attractions will likely be quicker.

How much is gate admission for children?

The PNE is excited to offer once again FREE gate admission for children 6-13 years old, and FREE for kids 5 and under under during the Fair. A maximum of five children aged 13 & under will be admitted free per one paying adult 21 years of age or older.

How can I save on Fair admission?

What types of entertainment are offered at the Fair?

The Fair offers a variety of shows daily throughout the park. We feature high energy resident shows, strolling performers, community performers, life-sized characters and top-name entertainment. All shows are FREE with your regular paid admission to the Fair. For select shows, there is an option of paying for a limited number of reserved seats. With the exception of the limited paid reserved seats for select shows, all other seating is offered on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is seating for handicap accessible guests.

What should I wear to the PNE Fair?

The Fair is a casual, family-oriented environment. We suggest you dress comfortably, wear good walking shoes and check the local weather report before you leave for The Fair.
It is an important part of the Fair experience that the Parks are family-friendly. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense regarding your attire in The Fair. Attire that is not appropriate for The Fair (and which may result in refusal of admittance) includes, but is not limited to: Clothing generally considered offensive or clothing with inappropriate words, phrases and/or graphics. For your safety, shirts and shoes must be worn at all times, including entering and leaving The Fair. Some rides will not allow guests wearing flip flops or shoes not secured to their feet.

Can I bring my camera/video camera?

Cameras and/or video cameras are permitted except for professional cameras and cameras with detachable lenses. NOTE: Cameras and/or video cameras are not permitted on rides.

Where is First-Aid located?

There are two First-Aid stations located throughout the PNE grounds, one is located inside the Pacific Coliseum and the other is located inside Gate 11. Should you require First-Aid assistance, please contact any PNE security personnel.

What kinds of food are offered?

The Fair celebrates diverse cuisine from countries around the world as well as healthy and local options. The tantalizing array of international and local cuisine promises to cater to virtually every taste. With such an extensive food selection, visitors can choose anything from a light snack to a fine dining experience. Just don’t forget to save room for our traditional Fair favorites like cotton candy, candy apples and, of course, those mini donuts!

Are there discounts for large groups?

Discounted Group Rates are available for groups of 10 or more. Call Fair Group Sales at 604-252-3663 for information or visit our Group Sales section.

What services are offered to guests with disabilities?

Guests with disabilities can purchase a discounted Gate pass which allows an accompanying attendant if needed. We simply ask that you show your Access 2 Card or another form of documentation.
Accessible washrooms are available throughout the Fair grounds and its buildings. Disabled access is not available at the washroom behind Triple O’s.

What is included with gate admission?

The Fair’s one-price admission plan entitles you to enjoy a variety of shows, exhibits, and attractions. All rides are NOT included with gate admission.

Are there lockers available?

Lockers are available at Guest Services located in Playland, outside the Coliseum and Near the Marketplace. Locker are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Regular lockers can be rented for $10 per day, and larger lockers for $15 per day. A $10 refundable deposit is required, and refunded upon return of the key.

What should I do if my child becomes separated from the group?

If a child becomes separated from your group contact the nearest PNE staff member, security officer or visit any Guest Service Centre for immediate assistance. All children found will be escorted to the PNE Parents Room where they will be comforted with a stuffed animal, games and videos until they have been reunited with their guardians.
The PNE Fair does not offer in-park paging. Please be sure to have a specific meeting place for your group. Guests may leave messages for one another at a Guest Service Centre.
The PNE has partnered with BCAA to provide the Lost Child Tagging Program to facilitate the locating and reuniting of lost ones. Visit any Guest Service Centre for more information on this great service!

Where is the Lost & Found?

The lost and found centre is located at the South West corner of the Forum building (Marketplace) just inside gate 1, open noon through 8:30pm. If you have already left the PNE grounds, please fill out a lost and found case using the online form.
Every attempt will be made to locate the lost item and you will be contacted only if the item is found. The PNE does not reimburse patrons for lost or stolen items.
The PNE is unable to retrieve any items lost on a ride.
Note: all lost & found or checked items will be destroyed or donated if unclaimed after 30 days.

Can I bring outside food and drinks into the Fair?

Outside food and beverage is permitted, but coolers, and BBQs are not.

As a parent, can I accompany my child on a ride for free?

We have a limited number of rides where ONE parent may ride free with any child that has a valid ride pass. Please see Guest Services or a Ride Ticket booth for a list of these rides.

Is there a parents' room on site?

The PNE Parents’ Room is located beside the Kiwanis food kiosk (across from Celebration Plaza). For your convenience, the Parents’ Room offers the following services:

  • Space to change your child’s diaper
  • Complimentary diapers, wipes
  • A separate and discrete room for nursing mothers

What payment options are available?

Cash, Credit Cards, and INTERAC are accepted for admission and at most shops and restaurants including Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Where are the public gates and ticket box offices located?

Are public telephones available?

There are courtesy phones located just inside the Playland Main Gate, at the Forum building near the Ladies’ washroom, in the Agrodome near the Men’s washroom, in the Barns (north west corner), and in the Coliseum near Human Resources.

What prohibited items are not allowed at the Fair?

The Fair management asks for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the continued safety of guests and staff. The Fair reserves the right to inspect bags and purses upon request. We recommend that you secure all unnecessary valuables in the trunk of your vehicle or store articles in the Fair lockers which are located upon entry to the Fair.

The following items are not permitted on the Fair grounds:

  • Pets (Service Animals are permitted and must be wearing an identifying assistive-companion vest)
  • Skateboards, scooters (motorized and non-motorized), inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, bicycles, motorcycles, tricycles, unicycles, pogo sticks, two-wheeled vehicles, including bicycles and Segway™ Human Transporters
  • Strollers larger than 36″ x 52″ (which mirrors the rental stroller sizes)
  • Suitcases, backpacks or similar bags with wheels
  • Any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV, wheelchair or stroller
    Note: Guests are not permitted to pull items behind them. Any item that requires a Guest to pull it behind them, including a stroller, is not permitted into The Fair.
  • Alcoholic beverages and any illegal substances
  • Folding chairs, with the exception of cane-chair and seat-walker mobility aids
  • Glass containers, with the exception of baby food containers, medicine or small perfume bottles (under 4 oz)
  • Water pistols, toy guns and replica weapons, with the exception of those sold in the Fair.
  • Sporting goods or equipment (e.g., baseball bats, helmets, hockey sticks, golf clubs, bows and arrows, camping equipment, chairs, stools, tables, Frisbees)
  • Weapons of any kind (including guns; knives; billy clubs; brass knuckles; and nunchucks, stars and other martial arts equipment)
  • Self-defense equipment (pepper spray, mace, stun guns)
  • Restraining devices (e.g., handcuffs, zip ties) or any suspicious items (e.g., box cutters, razor blades, duct tape, wire)
  • Items that may be disruptive (e.g. laser pointer, slingshot, stink bomb, air horns)
  • Miscellaneous other items (tools, fire extinguishers, musical instruments, megaphones, pots and pans)
  • Professional cameras and recording equipment. (Reporters must make prior arrangements with PNE Media Relations.) Folding tripod stands that can fit inside a standard backpack are permitted.
  • Propane Bar-B-Cues
  • Coolers are not permitted

Am I allowed to re-enter the Fair throughout the day of my visit?

Convenient exit and re-entry is available throughout the day of your visit by a hand-stamp provided at all gates upon exiting The Fair.
Please note that there will be no re-entry before 1pm on Tuesday, August 22 and 29.

Where are all the restrooms located?

Restrooms are located throughout the fairgrounds in the following locations: Pacific Coliseum, Agrodome, Marketplace, Celebration Plaza, Livestock Barns, under the Westcoast Wheel outside Playland, PNE Amphitheatre, Playland Midway (next to Scoops), across from the Merry-Go-Round in Kids Playce and behind Playland’s Triple O’s restaurant. The washroom located behind the Triple O’s restaurant is not accessible for guests with special needs.

What are the ride and attraction restrictions?

All Rides and/or Attractions have height restrictions to ensure Guest Safety. Typical safety restrictions include height restrictions, health and safety advisories and accessibility guidelines. These restrictions and advisories are listed at individual rides and/or attractions or are available at Guest Services.

What happens if there is inclement weather?

To ensure the safety of our guests during inclement weather such as high winds, severe rain or lightening in the park vicinity, individual rides or the entire park may be closed. Affected rides may be reopened if deemed safe. The Fair does not issue rain cheques or refunds for park closures.
To provide the Fair Guests with the highest quality experience, ride/attraction closure due maintenance is occasionally necessary. Please contact Guest Services at 604-252-3620 for operational updates.

Are stroller and wheelchair rentals available?

Stroller and wheelchair rentals are available at any Guest Service Centre for your convenience and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for the following rates:

  • Single Strollers:
    $10/day (tax included)
  • Double Strollers:
    $15/day (tax included)
  • Wheelchairs:
    $15/per day (tax included)
    ($100 deposit & signed rental contract required)

Is the Fair stroller and wheelchair accessible?

Most of our attractions are wheelchair and stroller accessible. Parents—please note that due to limited space, strollers must be checked in at Pacific Coliseum shows.

Where can I smoke at the Fair?

The PNE Fair is a smoke-free environment. Smoking in any form, including E-cigarettes, is permitted in three designated smoking areas only. Smoking tents are located inside Gate 2 across from the MarketPlace building, at the North West corner of Celebration Plaza and the West end of the Flume ride in Playland.

Are the Summer Night Concerts free to attend?

Every night during The Fair, there will be a different artist performing at the PNE Amphitheatre as part of our Summer Night Concert series. Concerts are free with Fair Gate admission. There is the option to purchase reserved seating for each show starting at $25. As some shows are more popular than others, purchasing reserved seating guarantees floor seating to the show selected. Reserved seat tickets do not include Fair Gate admission.

Can I upgrade my Fair ticket?

All the Fair passes can be upgraded. You can upgrade to any type of ticket – provided the new ticket is of equal or greater value than the old ticket – by simply paying the difference. However, no refunds will be issued if the new ticket is of lesser value.
