Accessibility / Access2Entertainment

The Fair is proud to partner with the Access2Entertertainment program.  We simply ask that you show your Access 2 Card or another form of valid documentation indicating that you require an attendant. Guests can purchase a Gate pass which allows an accompanying attendant to receive a complementary admission.

Accessible washrooms are available throughout the Fair grounds and its buildings. Playland’s accessible washroom is located under the games line beside Scoops Ice Cream.

ATMs are located at both Guest Services booths, the Pacific Coliseum, Agrodome Plaza, the Marketplace, PNE Amphitheatre.  Playland ATM locations are behind Guest Services, Crazy Beach, Revelation, Hellevator and in front of Pizza Pizza. Please visit Guest Services for a map with all ATM locations. Please note US cash is not available.

Bike Services

Bike racks, without valet service, are available outside Gates 5 and 13. Bicycle valet service is available inside Gate 1 (corner of Hastings & Renfrew St.). The PNE’s bicycle valet is a friendly and convenient bicycle parking service—completely free-of-charge.


Cameras and/or video cameras are permitted.  Professional cameras and cameras with detachable lenses may not be permitted in certain areas including, but not limited to the Summer Night Concerts, Reveen and other entertainment shows. NOTE: Cameras and/or video cameras are not permitted on rides.

Cannabis Policy

Guests are not permitted to bring or consume substances that cause intoxication or impairment into The Fair – including alcohol and cannabis. Exceptions will be made for medical cannabis (with appropriate documentation) or other prescription medications. Individuals who have recreational cannabis on their person are encouraged to secure it in their vehicle. Smoking cannabis is prohibited.  The Fair assumes no liability for any lost or stolen items.

Child Admission Prices

The PNE is excited to offer discounted gate admission for children 6-13 years old at a rate of $5 and FREE for kids 5 and under under during the Fair. A maximum of five children aged 5 & under will be admitted free per one paying adult 21 years of age or older.

Dress for your Day at The Fair

The Fair is a casual, family-oriented environment. We suggest you dress comfortably, wear good walking shoes and check the local weather report before you leave for The Fair. It is an important part of the Fair experience that the park is family-friendly. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense regarding your attire in The Fair. Attire that is not appropriate for The Fair (and which may result in refusal of admittance) includes, but is not limited to: Clothing generally considered offensive or clothing with inappropriate words, phrases and/or graphics or clothing not conducive to a family environment. Guests wearing a bikini, and or open back tops will not be allowed access to rides. For your safety, shirts and shoes must be worn at all times, including entering and leaving The Fair. Some rides will not allow guests wearing flip flops.  Shoes not secured to their feet with covered toes may not be able to ride certain rides. 


The Fair offers a variety of shows daily throughout the park. We feature high energy resident shows, strolling performers, community performers, life-sized characters and top-name entertainment. All shows are FREE with your regular paid admission to the Fair. For select shows, there is an option of paying for a limited number of reserved seats. With the exception of the limited paid reserved seats and free tickets for select shows, all other seating is offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.  Limited seating and standing spaces are available.  Accessible seating is available on a first-come-first-serve basis and spacing is limited.

Family Services

The PNE Parents’ Room is located beside the Kiwanis food kiosk (across from Revel District). For your convenience, the Parents’ Room offers the following services:

  • Space to change your child’s diaper
  • A quieter space for nursing mothers

First Aid

There are two First-Aid stations located throughout the PNE grounds, one is located inside the Pacific Coliseum and the other is located on the North East side of Playland. Should you require First-Aid assistance, please contact any PNE security personnel.


The Fair celebrates diverse cuisine from countries around the world as well as healthy and local options. The tantalizing array of international and local cuisine promises to cater to virtually every taste. With such an extensive food selection, visitors can choose anything from a light snack to a fine dining experience. Gate Admission

The Fair’s one-price admission plan entitles you to enjoy a variety of shows, exhibits, and attractions. Rides are NOT included with gate admission.

Pets / Guide Dogs / Service Dogs

Animals are not allowed at Playland with the exception of Service Animals. Please have documentation available.  Guide dogs and service dogs (as well as puppies-in-training carrying BC Government Identification) are welcome in all public areas during the Fair.  The guide or service dog must remain on a leash or harness and/or under the control of their handler at all times.

Lost Person

If an individual becomes separated from your group contact the nearest PNE staff member, security officer or visit any Guest Service Centre for immediate assistance. All lost guests found will be escorted to the PNE Parents Room where they will be comforted with a stuffed animal, games and videos until they have been reunited with their guardians.

The PNE Fair does not offer in-park paging. Please be sure to have a specific meeting place for your group.

The PNE has partnered with BCAA to provide the Lost Child Tagging Program to facilitate the locating and reuniting of lost ones. Visit any Guest Service Centre for more information on this great service!

Lost & Found

The lost and found center is located at the South West corner of the Forum building (Marketplace) just inside gate 1, open noon through 8:30pm. If you have already left the PNE grounds, please fill out a lost and found case using the online form click here.

Every attempt will be made to locate the lost item and you will be contacted only if the item is found. The PNE does not reimburse patrons for lost or stolen items.

The PNE is unable to retrieve any items lost on a ride.
Note: all lost & found or checked items will be destroyed or donated if unclaimed after 30 days.

Outside Food and Beverage

Outside food and beverage is permitted, but coolers and BBQs are not.

Payment Options

Cash, Credit Cards, and INTERAC are accepted for admission and at most shops and restaurants including Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Prohibited Items

The Fair management asks for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the continued safety of guests and staff. The Fair reserves the right to inspect bags and purses upon request.

The following items are not permitted on the Fair grounds:

  • Pets (Service Animals are permitted and must be wearing an identifying assistive-companion vest)
  • Skateboards, scooters (motorized and non-motorized), inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, bicycles, motorcycles, tricycles, unicycles, pogo sticks, two-wheeled vehicles, including bicycles and Segway™ Human Transporters
  • Strollers larger than 36″ x 52″ (which mirrors the rental stroller sizes)
  • Suitcases, backpacks or similar bags with wheels
  • Any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV, wheelchair or stroller
    Note: Guests are not permitted to pull items behind them. Any item that requires a Guest to pull it behind them, including a stroller, is not permitted into The Fair.
  • Guests are not permitted to bring substances that cause intoxication or impairment into The Fair – including alcohol and cannabis. Exceptions will be made for medical cannabis (with appropriate documentation) or other prescription medications. Individuals who have recreational cannabis on their person are encouraged to secure it in their vehicle. Smoking cannabis is prohibited.  The Fair assumes no liability for any lost or stolen items.


  • Folding chairs, with the exception of cane-chair and seat-walker mobility aids
  • Glass containers, with the exception of baby food containers, medicine or small perfume bottles (under 4 oz)
  • Water pistols, toy guns and replica weapons, with the exception of those sold in the Fair.
  • Sporting goods or equipment (e.g., baseball bats, helmets, hockey sticks, golf clubs, bows and arrows, camping equipment, chairs, stools, tables, Frisbees)
  • Weapons of any kind (including guns; knives; billy clubs; brass knuckles; and nunchucks, stars and other martial arts equipment)
  • Self-defense equipment (pepper spray, mace, stun guns)
  • Restraining devices (e.g., handcuffs, zip ties) or any suspicious items (e.g., box cutters, razor blades, duct tape, wire)
  • Items that may be disruptive (e.g. laser pointer, slingshot, stink bomb, air horns)
  • Miscellaneous other items (tools, fire extinguishers, musical instruments, megaphones, pots and pans)
  • Professional cameras and recording equipment. (Reporters must make prior arrangements with PNE Media Relations.) Folding tripod stands that can fit inside a standard backpack are permitted.
  • Propane Bar-B-Cues
  • Coolers are not permitted

Public Telephones

There are courtesy phones located just inside the Playland Main Gate, at the Forum building near the Ladies’ washroom, in the Agrodome near the Men’s washroom, in the Barns (north west corner), and in the Coliseum near Human Resources.


If you intend to return to The Fair later the same day, please retain your ticket and get a valid and legible re-entry handstamp. If you have a ride pass, ensure you have redeemed your ticket and keep your ride wristband on.  Wristbands cannot be replaced if cut or removed.

Please note: On free admission days – presented by YVR; Tuesday August 20 and Tuesday August 27 there will be no re-entry stamps given before 1pm.

Rentals: Strollers, Wheelchairs & Lockers

Stroller, wheelchair and locker rentals are available at any Guest Services booths for your convenience and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for the following rates:

  • Single Strollers:
    $10/day (tax included)
    ($100 refundable deposit & signed rental contract required)
  • Wheelchairs:
    $15/per day (tax included)
    ($100 refundable deposit & signed rental contract required)
  • Lockers are available for rent at any Guest Services booths. Forum and Coliseum Guest Services’ lockers are located at the Pacific Coliseum. Playland Guest Services’ lockers are located beside the Playland main gate.
    • Regular $10/ per day
    • Large $15/per day.
    • ($10 refundable deposit is required)


Restrooms are located throughout the fairgrounds in the following locations: Pacific Coliseum, Agrodome, Marketplace, Celebration Plaza, Livestock Barns, under the Westcoast Wheel outside Playland, PNE Amphitheatre, Playland Midway (next to Scoops), across from the Merry-Go-Round in Kids Playce and behind Playland’s Triple O’s restaurant. Accessible restrooms are available throughout the Fair grounds and its buildings. Playland’s accessible restroom is located under the games line beside Scoops Ice cream.  Universal restrooms are located on the East side of the Pacific Coliseum. In Playland, the gender neutral washroom is located in the middle of Kids Playce next to Cheese Please.

Rides & Restrictions

We have a limited number of rides where ONE parent may ride free with any child that has a valid ride pass. Please see Guest Services or a Ride Ticket booth for a list of these rides. 

All Rides and/or Attractions have height, age and weight restrictions to ensure guest safety. These restrictions and advisories are listed at individual rides and/or attractions or check rides online here.


Strollers & Wheelchair Accessibility

Most of our attractions are wheelchair and stroller accessible. Parents—please note that due to limited space, in some attractions and shows we may ask you to check your strollers at entrances or exits of certain exhibits.

Smoking and Vaping Areas

The PNE Fair is a smoke-free environment. As a courtesy to our guests, The Fair provides two smoking / vaping areas on site.   The designated smoking /vaping areas are at the North West corner of Celebration Plaza and the West end of the Flume ride in Playland, near the Hellevator.  Guests are not permitted to bring substances that cause intoxication or impairment into the Playland – including alcohol and cannabis. Exceptions will be made for medical cannabis (with appropriate documentation) or other prescription medications. Individuals who have recreational cannabis on their person are encouraged to secure it in their vehicle. Smoking cannabis is prohibited.

Summer Night Concerts

Every night during The Fair, there will be a different artist performing at the PNE Amphitheatre as part of our Summer Night Concert series. Click here for more information and concert line up. Concerts are free with Fair Gate admission, but limited seating is available. There is the option to purchase reserved seating for each show starting at $25. As some shows are more popular than others, we recommend purchasing your ticket in advance to ensure your admission.

A minimum of 2,000-4,000 general admission tickets will be available FREE with admission, for each show, available both onsite at the PNE Amphitheatre Box Office at no cost and online (with a $3 service fee) on show days beginning at 11am.

These General Admission tickets will get you into the venue but do not guarantee a seat, as demand will vary from show to show. Max 2 per person. *Fair admission is separate.

Please be advised, this concert venue has a capacity limit and, for everyone’s safety, we will need to close the venue once this capacity has been reached.

Ticket Resolution

Fair passes can be upgraded. You can upgrade to any type of ticket – provided the new ticket is of equal or greater value than the old ticket – by simply paying the difference. However, no refunds will be issued if the new ticket is of lesser value.

Save by purchasing your admission tickets and ride passes in advance via TicketLeader. Additionally, there are many promotional days listed on our Ways to Save page.


To ensure the safety of our guests during inclement weather such as high winds, severe rain or lightening in the park vicinity, individual rides or the entire park may be closed. Affected rides may be reopened if deemed safe. The Fair does not issue rain cheques or refunds for park closures.
To provide the Fair Guests with the highest quality experience, ride/attraction closure due maintenance is occasionally necessary. Please contact Guest Services at 604-252-3620 for operational updates.
