Pacific Spirit Horse Show

Showcasing various disciplines of equestrian sport, the Pacific Spirit Horse Show is proud to offer a blend of entertainment and competition in the Agrodome during the annual PNE Fair.

Shows change daily so please make sure to check what shows are featured on the days you visit the Fair!

Agrodome  |  August 17-September 2

Returning to the Agrodome for a second year, this jaw dropping full contact, horseback jousting show is the most unpredictable event you’ll take in all summer!  Will 400 pounds of armor clad knights hit the ground? Will their lances split into tiny slivers with the force of impact? You’ll have to get your seats to find out as every show has a different outcome in this live and dramatic event.

Agrodome  |  August 22-25

The Carlaw Clydes from Cranbrooke, BC and Shagrens Belgians from Custer, Washington will showcase a variety of hitches each day. Once the primary means of completing farm and field tasks, these majestic giants are now here to entertain the crowds both in the arena and in their stalls in the barns. Always a crowd favorite, be sure to see the 6 horse hitch competitions on August 24 and 25!

Agrodome  |  August 24
An exciting variety of privately owned antique tractors from all over the Lower Mainland will be on display in the barns and shown in the Agrodome for one day only! Come learn the history and stories behind each tractor and talk to their current owners! You will be amazed by the varied paths these machines have taken since their manufacture date.

Agrodome and Livestock Barns  |  August 21 – Sept 2
Carlaw Cyldes have been attending the PNE for many decades as competitors and have also been giving draft team demonstrations during the Pacific Spirit Horse Show at the PNE for as long as we can remember. There will be Draft Team demonstrations daily from August 22 to September 2. Owned by the McGibbon family of Cranbrooke, BC, they are known to say that their favorite part of the Fair is visiting back in the livestock barns with the many guests that stop in to say hi year to year.

Agrodome  |  August 28 – 30
A rare chance to watch or compete in an eventing competition held entirely indoors! This 3 phase event is typically comprised of dressage, stadium jumping and an outdoor cross country course but we’ve decided to bring the cross country course inside! A unique course designed with a combination of cross country and stadium jumps and timed for a face paced, thrilling event. This competition gives eventing competitors a chance to show their stuff in an urban environment and is bound to please the crowds!

Agrodome  |   August 30 – September 2
Coined as the best end of summer fun Jumper show for the competitors and as a crowd favorite show, this show offers 4 days packed with non-stop jumping. Classes range in height from 3’ to 3’6 as well as nightly fun classes such as Points Choice, Obstacles in Line and the ever entertaining Dog and Pony class which pairs a dog over an agility course against a horse over a jump course! This competition offers great prize money and prizes, an outstanding venue and of course, mini donuts!
