The Best of the West Archery Competition
Saturday, August 26th and Sunday, August 27th @ The Agrodome
The 2023 Best of the West Championships are headed to the PNE on August 26 & 27. the search for the greatest 3D archers in the West takes place this summer with 5 qualifier tours across western BC. The top 5 competitors in each class will then face each other down in dramatic fashion at centre stage in the Agrodome. Lights, camera, and the big screen magic help bring the fun of the Best of the West to the Big City audience!

Yes, you heard that right. It’s time to STEP RIGHT UP and enter the circus ring.
Learn some circus basics at the PNE Fair by CircusWest and put on a show in Festival Park!
PNE Circus Campers will be taught juggling, object manipulation, handheld stilts, and circus pyramids. Then, we will build a show during the workshop and perform it CENTRE RING at Festival Park at 4pm.

This Toronto-based singing group led by creative directors Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman. You just show up and they’ll get you harmonizing, dancing, and laughing in no time!
The group has performed with renowned artists such as Patti Smith, David Byrne, Rick Astley, Tegan and Sara, and Rufus Wainwright, and onstage at New York’s Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall with the likes of Debbie Harry and The Flaming Lips.

Red Robinson Day

Red Robinson Day at the 2023 PNE Fair promises to be a memorable celebration of the legendary DJ and broadcaster. With a display of classic cars, a bench dedication ceremony, a special Elvis tribute performance, and a video tribute, attendees will have the opportunity to honor Red Robinson’s legacy and immerse themselves in the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll. The event showcases the PNE Fair’s commitment to recognizing influential figures in music history and creating an unforgettable experience for all visitors.
To celebrate Red Robinson Day at the PNE Fair, put on your best Elvis attire and get a FREE Triple O’s burger combo*! Plus, for every Original Burger and Original with Cheese Burger sold at PNE Triple O’s locations on August 31, Triple O’s will donate $1 to the CHILD Foundation.
*Free combo includes one burger, side and beverage at Triple O’s Playland and Pacific Coliseum. Promotion is valid on August 31, 2023. One per person. Determination of what qualifies as Elvis attire/costume will be at the sole discretion of the restaurant staff.
Display of 1950s Classic Cars – Festival Park
As part of the celebration, there will be a small display showcasing classic cars from the 1950s. These vintage vehicles will help recreate the nostalgic ambiance of that era, reminding attendees of the time when Red Robinson played a significant role in promoting rock ‘n’ roll.
12:15 pm – Bench Dedication – Pacific Coliseum
At 12:15, there will be a bench dedication ceremony to honor Red Robinson’s contributions and his enduring friendship with the PNE Fair. This dedication will serve as a permanent tribute to his influence on the music industry and his connection to the fair.
6:00pm – Tim Hortons Stage – Festival Park
Special Anniversary Performance by “Elvis”: The Tim Hortons Stage will come alive at 6:00 pm with a special anniversary performance by renowned Elvis tribute artist Terry Aaron Wong. Wong’s electrifying portrayal of Elvis Presley will captivate the audience.
Summer Night Concert
Prior to the Summer Night Concert featuring Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, a special video presentation commemorating the life and achievements of Red Robinson will be played, highlighting the many contributions to the music industry and the impact he had in promoting rock ‘n roll. This show is ticketed.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends, relive the magic of our performances, and showcase our talents once again. For the past twenty-eight summers, Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance! has attracted hundreds of enthusiastic and talented participants – many of whom have gone on to successful careers in the performing arts – from throughout British Columbia and as far away as Whitehorse, Edmonton, Regina, Yorkton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New York, California, Alabama, Colorado, Virginia, Texas, Austria, Abu Dhabi and Israel.
The director and creator of the program is PERRY EHRLICH, who received an Ovation Award and the Canadian Bar Association’s Community Service Award (acknowledging his tireless dedication to working with children and musical theatre).

BC Lions Day
BC Lions Day is August 27
The day of fun begins at 11:00am with the BC Lions promo team on site for some cool prize giveaways. Player autograph sessions take place at 2:00pm and again at 5:00pm.
Lucky Whitehead will be on hand for The SuperDogs! 6:00pm show, while fans will be treated to a performance from the Uproar Dance Team.
