The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA uses cashless procedures on site for PNE Food & Beverage, Bars and Games. We accept PNE gift cards, credit/debit and recommend that you use your tap enabled cards or Apple Pay/Google Pay on your mobile device. You can load a PNE gift card with cash.

Accessibility / Access 2 Program

The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA is proud to partner with the “Access 2 Program.”  We simply ask that you show your Access 2 Card indicating that you require an attendant. Guests can purchase a Gate Pass which allows an accompanying attendant to receive a complimentary gate entrance admission.

Accessible washrooms are available throughout the PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA and its buildings (including the Pacific Coliseum and the Agrodome)

ATMs

The PNE uses cashless procedures on site for all retail, games, and food/beverage outlets. We accept credit/debit and recommend that you use your tap enabled cards or Apple Pay/Google Pay on your mobile device. PNE Gift Cards can also be purchased for use and are sold at Guest Services (in the Pacific Coliseum).

Winter Lottery at the Fair

Lottery tickets will be sold inside the Pacific Coliseum. The lottery is cashless, and will therefore not accept cash. Prizes to be won include: 28 cash prizes totaling 227,500 and 1 Chevrolet Equinox Car prize. Please note, the lottery DOES NOT accept PNE Gift Cards.

Bike Valet

The Bike Valet will not be available this  year, however bike racks are available outside the gates.

Cameras

Cameras and/or video cameras are permitted on site, but strictly prohibited on the ice bumper cars. Selfie sticks and drones are not permitted on site. The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA requires that all photographs or videos taken by guests be used for their personal enjoyment ONLY.

Cannabis Policy

Guests are not permitted to bring or consume substances that cause intoxication or impairment into The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA – including alcohol and cannabis. Exceptions will be made for medical cannabis (with appropriate documentation) or other prescription medications. Individuals who have recreational cannabis on their person are encouraged to secure it in their vehicle. Smoking cannabis is prohibited.  The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA assumes no liability for any lost or stolen items.

Admission Prices

All attractions/performances are included with the exception of ice skating rentals ($7 – but you can bring your own skates) and the ice bumper cars ($7).

Ice Bumper Cars

Located in the Agrodome. $7/ride. Limited Capacity, please buy your tickets as soon as possible once on site to avoid missing out. Please see Ride Restrictions for more information.

Restrictions:

• Minimum Height to ride: 48”
• Maximum Weight:300lbs
• Limit of one passenger per ride unit

Ice Skating

Located in the Agrodome. Skate rental price: $7; you can also bring your own skates to skate at no cost. Helmets are mandatory for guests 12 and under.

No wheelchairs, strollers, or scooters allowed on the ice.

Show Performances and Entertainment

Credit and Debit Cards

Credit and Debit Cards are accepted for admission and food. We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. PNE Food & Beverage, and Games also accept PNE Gift Cards (sold at the Pacific Coliseum)

Code of Conduct

Please be considerate of other guests. Line jumping, unruly behaviour or profanity will not be tolerated. Offenders will be ejected without a refund. Observe all warnings and rules, instructions and smoking regulations where posted.

Guests who demonstrate inappropriate and disruptive behavior, including the following, are subject to removal from the premises:

  • Excessive consumption of alcohol
  • Possession of any weapon or any type of object that could be used as a weapon
  • Possession of any illegal drugs
  • Bringing alcoholic beverages onto PNE property
  • Obscene, offensive or abusive language or actions
  • Fighting, taunting, or threatening remarks or gestures
  • Dangerous, abusive, profane or illegal behavior
  • Unruly or inconsiderate behavior
  • Indecent exposure or undressing
  • Wearing obscene or indecent clothing
  • Smoking in a non-designated smoking area
  • Interfering with security procedures
  • Interfering with the progress of any event or attraction
  • Selling tickets or other merchandise on PNE property without prior approval
  • Handing out goods or literature not pre-approved by Playland
  • Possession of any Items or any other conduct that is beyond the bounds of reasonable behavior for guests attending a family oriented event

Midway Games

There will be a limited number of games available, at an additional cost. Games include: Pop Starz and Whac-a-Mole. There will also be a gift shop located in the centre grounds.

Dress for your day

The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA is a casual, family-oriented environment. We suggest you dress comfortably, wear good walking shoes/boots and check the local weather report before you leave for The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA . It is an important part of the PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA experience that the park is family-friendly. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense regarding your attire in The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA . Attire that is not appropriate for The Fair (and which may result in refusal of admittance) includes, but is not limited to: Clothing generally considered offensive or clothing with inappropriate words, phrases and/or graphics or clothing not conducive to a family environment. For your safety, shirts and shoes must be worn at all times, including entering and leaving The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA.

Food Vendors

A selection of food vendors will be available throughout the Pacific Coliseum, Agrodome and Centre Grounds. All food vendors are cashless and can accept PNE Gift Cards.

Outside food and beverage is not permitted.

Family Services

The PNE offers family style washrooms with changing tables in various locations throughout the site.

First Aid

The First Aid station is located inside the Pacific Coliseum. Should you require First-Aid assistance, please contact any PNE security personnel.

Guide Dogs / Service Dogs / Pets

Animals are not permitted at the PNE (Playland, Fair or other ticketed events and shows)  with the exception of Service Animals. Please have documentation available.Guide dogs and service dogs (as well as puppies-in-training carrying BC Government Identification) are welcome in all public areas during the Fair.  Accepted certification includes Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS), BC & Alberta Guide Dog Services, Vancouver Island Compassion Dogs,  Assistance Dogs International, or the International Guide Dog Federation.  For more information on these accredited schools click here. The guide or service dog must remain on a leash or harness and/or under the control of their handler at all times.

Lost and Found

If you have lost an item, please visit our Lost & Found station in the Pacific Coliseum at Guest Services. If you have already left the PNE grounds, fill out a lost and found case using the online form click here.

Every attempt will be made to locate the lost item and you will be contacted only if the item is found.  Often items are only found after closing hours.  While we do all that we can to reunite you with your item, we are not able to stop rides, or close areas to search or retrieve.   Due to the volume of lost and found items, it may take a few days to connect items and contact guests.  The PNE does not reimburse patrons for lost or stolen items. 

Note: all lost & found or checked items will be destroyed or donated if unclaimed after 14 days.

Lost Person

If an individual becomes separated from your group contact the nearest PNE staff member, security officer or visit any Guest Service Centre for immediate assistance. All lost guests found will be escorted to PNE Guest services where they will be comforted until they have been reunited with their guardians.

The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA does not offer in-park paging. Please be sure to have a specific meeting place for your group.

The PNE has partnered with BCAA to provide the Lost Child Tagging Program to facilitate the locating and reuniting of lost ones. Visit the Guest Service Centre in the Pacific Coliseum for more information on this great service!

Outside Food and Beverage

Outside food and beverage is not permitted (with the exception of specialty foods for those with medical reasons). Coolers and BBQ are also not permitted.

Payment options

The Fair uses cashless procedures on site for PNE Food & Beverage, Bars and Games. We accept PNE gift cards, credit/debit and recommend that you use your tap enabled cards or Apple Pay/Google Pay on your mobile device.

Parking and Transportation

Parking lots are located at the corner of Hastings and Windermere Streets, as well as lots accessible from Gate 6 off North Renfrew Street, and Gate 9 off Bridgeway Street.

Parking is $20.

Transit is also a great option with frequent bus service on Hastings Street, and easy access to Renfrew Skytrain Station via the #16 Bus. For more information about getting to the PNE Fairgrounds via transit, including fares and schedules, please visit www.translink.ca or call 604-953-3333.

Prohibited Items

The Fair reserves the right to inspect bags and purses upon request. 

The following items are not permitted on the Fair grounds: 

  • Pets (Service Animals are permitted and must be wearing an identifying assistive-companion vest from a recognized British Columbia approved service animal association) 
  • Skateboards, scooters (motorized and non-motorized), inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, bicycles, motorcycles, tricycles, unicycles, pogo sticks, two-wheeled vehicles, including bicycles and Segway™ Human Transporters 
  • Strollers larger than 36×52″ 
  • Suitcases, backpacks or similar bags with wheels 
  • BBQs 
  • Coolers 
  • Guests are not permitted to bring substances that cause intoxication or impairment into The Fair – including alcohol and cannabis. Exceptions will be made for medical cannabis (with appropriate documentation) or other prescription medications. Individuals who have recreational cannabis on their person are encouraged to secure it in their vehicle. Smoking cannabis is prohibited.  The Fair assumes no liability for any lost or stolen items.
  • Folding chairs, with the exception of cane-chair and seat-walker mobility aids
  • Glass containers, with the exception of baby food containers, or medicine or small perfume bottles (under 4 oz) 
  • Water pistols, toy guns and replica weapons, with the exception of those sold in the Fair 
  • Sporting goods or equipment (e.g., baseball bats, helmets, hockey sticks, golf clubs, bows and arrows, camping equipment, chairs, stools, tables, Frisbees) 
  • Weapons of any kind (including guns; knives; billy clubs; brass knuckles; and num-chuks, stars and other martial arts equipment) 
  • Self-defense equipment (pepper spray, mace, stun guns) 
  • Restraining devices (e.g., handcuffs, zip ties) or any suspicious items (e.g., box cutters, razor blades, duct tape, wire) 
  • Items that may be disruptive (e.g. laser pointer, slingshot, stink bomb, air horns) 
  • Miscellaneous other items (tools, fire extinguishers, musical instruments, megaphones, pots and pans) 
  • Professional cameras and recording equipment. (Reporters must make prior arrangements with PNE Media Relations.) Folding tripod stands that can fit inside a standard backpack are permitted.

Re-Entry

Ins-and-outs are permitted during the Fair. Get your hand stamped before exiting.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located throughout the fairgrounds in the following locations: Centre grounds, Agrodome, Pacific Coliseum. Accessible restrooms are available throughout the Fair grounds and its buildings. Universal restrooms are available in the Pacific Coliseum and Centre grounds.

Rides & Attractions Restriction

Ice Bumper Cars

  • Any guest with broken bones or existing neck or back pain should not ride
  • Pregnant guests should not ride
  • Minimum Height to ride: 48”
  • Maximum Weight:300lbs
  • Two functioning hands and a minimum of one functioning leg required
  • Limit of one passenger per ride unit
  • For rider accessibility: users are required to navigate themselves in and out of the ride unit without being lifted or requiring operator assistance.

PNE Holiday Express

  • Wheelchairs cannot be brought onto the PNE Express Train
  • Guests with an accompanying attendant who can assist with lifting and transfers, are able to enjoy the train
  • Please note that there are 2 steps to board the train

Rides Passes

The Ice Bumper Cars attraction will have limited capacity. If you would like to experience the Ice Bumper Cars, please arrive early and visit the skate shop, located in the Agrodome, to buy your tickets before they sell out. Tickets are $7 per person.

Rentals: Wheelchairs

For your convenience, manual wheelchair rentals are available the Guest Services booth inside the Coliseum, on a first-come, first-serve basis at the rate of $10 per day ($50 refundable deposit & signed rental contract required).

Sundry Items

For your convenience, a limited selection of sundry items will be available for purchase the Guest Services desk in the Pacific Coliseum. These items include but are not limited to: Tylenol, ponchos, change kits, hand cream, etc.

Smoking & Vaping

The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA is a smoke-free environment. As a courtesy to our guests, The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA provides two smoking / vaping areas on site. Guests are not permitted to bring substances that cause intoxication or impairment into the PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA – including alcohol and cannabis. Exceptions will be made for medical cannabis (with appropriate documentation) or other prescription medications. Individuals who have recreational cannabis on their person are encouraged to secure it in their vehicle. Smoking cannabis is prohibited.

Strollers & Wheelchair Accessibility

Most of our attractions are wheelchair and stroller accessible. Parents—please note that due to limited space, in some attractions and shows we may ask you to check your strollers/wagons at entrances or exits of certain exhibits.

Unaccompanied Minors

Playland / PNE does not provide any child minding supervision.  Guests are strongly recommended not to leave children unattended. Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by paying adult or guardian at all times.

Weather

To ensure the safety of our guests during inclement weather such as extreme cold, high winds, severe rain, snow or lightning in the park vicinity, individual attractions or the entire PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA may be closed. Affected areas may be reopened if deemed safe. The PNE Winter Fair presented by BCAA does not issue rain cheques or refunds for park closures.
