We are operating with significantly reduced capacities, physical distancing, and enhanced cleaning procedures. Masks are strongly recommended on rides, games areas, and in all queue lines, but not required.

The Enterprise is back with a brand-new look. The Wooden Roller Coaster, Flume, and Hell’s Gate will not be operating until further notice.
As we navigate through the steps of the BC Restart Plan, we will continue to prepare further rides and attractions and look forward to reintroducing your favourites back into operation.
From time-to-time rides may not be operating or require closure due to extreme weather or maintenance. Footwear and rider height restrictions vary from ride to ride. Check our Rides page for additional operational information. All sales are final, no refunds or exchanges.

Ride Side Bar & Patio
Ride Side Bar & Patio features frozen drinks such as Frosé and Moscow Mule, from Thursday to Sunday 12pm to 5pm. Guests can roam the entire park with an alcoholic beverage on Friday and Saturday nights from 6 pm to close. Visitors can enjoy a refreshing Aperol spritz on the patio, in addition to a selection of fan-favourite beer, wine, and ready-to-drink beverages. Guests of all ages are still welcome to enjoy Playland, but will need ID to purchase an alcoholic beverage. Happy Hour specials run from 3-4:30pm.
Good Mood Food
Our famous Fundunkers mini donuts, Triple O’s, and Treat Thyself (candy floss & apples) will be available, and depending on the day/night, Buen Gusto Tacos & Totchos, Cheese Please, Coaster Dogs, Pizza Pizza, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, and/or S’Luscious may also be open.
Playland uses cashless procedures on site for retail and food and beverage. We accept credit/debit and recommend that you use your tap enabled cards or Apple Pay/Google Pay on your mobile device.
New Feature Exhibit
Adventures in Happyland – Presented by BCAA
For this summer only, Playland and BCAA are taking you on a magical journey…. Get sucked down the rabbit hole into a storybook world where you’ll encounter enchanted creatures, explore a neon forest, be invited for tea, take some selfies, and ultimately escape the labyrinth.
The Adventures in Happyland exhibit is included with Playland passes. As safety is our top priority, masks are strongly recommended while enjoying this walk-through experience.

Know Before You Go
- All guests visiting Playland will need to purchase their tickets in advance online through TicketLeader.ca. Capacities are limited. Select your date and time slot from the calendar. TicketLeader accepts credit and verified debit cards. To connect with a TicketLeader call centre team member to pre-purchase your tickets over the phone, please call 604-252-3700.
- Your ticket is valid only for the date and time indicated on it. Before arriving at Playland please ensure you have either printed your ticket or downloaded the “print at home” PDF to your mobile phone. There is no free WIFI available at Playland. Please present the original ticket file, and not a screen shot of it. To help with ticket scanning, please turn the brightness on your phone to maximum, and enlarge the bar code section.
- Playland uses cashless procedures on site for retail and food and beverage. We accept credit/debit and recommend that you use your tap enabled cards, or Apple Pay/Google Pay on your mobile device.
- For the safety of all of our guests and team members, outside food and beverage will not be permitted on site. In an effort to decrease touch points we ask that you do not bring outside food, beverage, bags, back packs and coolers to Playland. There will not be lockers or storage spaces available.

Increased Focus on Cleanliness
We have always been proud of our high standards; now more than ever, we will be ensuring that our guests and team members feel safe enjoying their time at Playland. We continue to work with our local health authorities through each step of our opening. Physical distancing, recommended masks and enhanced sanitizing protocols will be just a few of the new standard operating procedures on site.
Managing Capacity & Distancing
During the limited Playland opening we will be operating at a reduced capacity. We require guests to purchase their tickets in advance to limit the number of people on the plaza and in the park.
We ask your assistance in leaving the appropriate space between your family and others while walking in the park, using restrooms, in lines on rides and in food areas.
Masks & Face Coverings
All team members will be wearing masks on site. Masks are recommended for guests in queue lines, on rides and attractions and recommend while walking through the park.
Masks will not be provided by the PNE, should you wish to purchase one on site we will have branded masks available at the Guest Services booth for $5 including taxes.
Rides & Attractions
As our overall queue capacity will be reduced, lines for our attractions may appear to be longer than normal.
You will be asked to use alcohol-based sanitizer on your hands as you enter the queue lines and just after you exit the attraction platform or perimeter.
Rides will be sanitized pre-opening and periodically through operating times. Queue railings and gates will be sanitized and wiped down frequently during the day.
Food & Eating Spaces
During the limited Playland opening many of your favourite food and beverage options are available including Fundunkers mini donuts, candy floss, Triple O’s and more.
Playland food locations are using cashless procedures on site. We accept credit/ debit and recommend that you use your tap enabled cards.
Additional tables have been added to the grassy area north of the Flume ride , towards the front of the park.
To ensure the safety of our guests during inclement weather such as high winds, rain or lightning in the park vicinity, individual rides or the entire park may be closed. Affected rides may be re-opened if deemed safe. Playland does not issue rain cheques or refunds for ride or park closures.
Season Pass Members
Your pass that was purchased for the 2020 season has been extended to the 2021 Playland season.
We will not be selling new 2021 Season Passes this year.

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms we’d love for you to stay home and take care of yourself: fever/feeling feverish, cough, sore throat, headache, runny nose, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, loss of taste and/or loss of smell.
Please note the BC CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend. People who show no symptoms can spread COVID-19 if they are infected, any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID-19, and we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit. Your cooperation is appreciated during this unprecedented time and we look forward to seeing you soon!
As we continue to collaborate with local health authorities on a safe re-opening of our site, we feel it is important to inform our guests that some of the new protocols are considered a requirement. If not adhered to, we risk site closure. Entry and occupation of Playland are contingent on such requirements. Team members will happily remind guests of such requirements; however, unwillingness to adhere to the requirements may result in a request to leave the park with no refund.
