Day in the Life

Provide exceptional guest service at a Playland candy stand while processing transactions and operating a point-of-sale system. This includes operating the cash register, serving a variety of food items to guests, and operating a variety of F&B equipment. Perform the cleaning duties and upkeeping of work areas

Customer focused mindset, friendly and approachable, bubbly and outgoing personality. Cash handling & customer service experience an asset.

$16.75 + 10%

Candy Runner

Day in the Life

Prepare, stock, and deliver a variety of foods for Playland candy stands and maintain the cleanliness of the candy stock area. This is a physical role and requires an ability to mop, sweep, and lift food & beverage inventory up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Core Candidate Requirements

Ability to take direction. Endurance and stamina to consistently complete physically demanding job tasks.

Special Requirements 

Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 40 lbs).

Concessions Cook

Day in the Life 

Maintain kitchen & food preparation areas following safety and sanitation policies. Prepare and dispense food items in a fast paced environment. Ensure food safety guidelines are followed all the time. Proper communication between other peers working in kitchen areas to ensure smooth operation. Stock the preparation area with all required food suppies, and ensure kitchen area is kept clean all time.

Core Candidate Requirements

Knowledge of kitchen oerations & food safety guidelines. Must be  able to work in grills in a high temperature.

Special Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.

Games Attendant

Day in the Life

Provide an excellent guest experience by engaging with guests, encouraging them to play, and monitoring gameplay. Duties include selling games, processing monetary transactions, prize distribution and maintaining displays.

Grounds Maintenance Attendant

Day in the Life

Provide a safe environment for staff and guests by ensuring that washrooms, picnic areas, attractions, and all other spaces on the Playland site are maintained in a clean and debris-free manner. This is an active position that will see you getting in lots of steps on every shift!

Core Candidate Requirements

Must be able to work independently, and comfortable walking for majority of shift time. Must be flexible and adaptable to changing situations. Quiet and reserved personalities are suited for this role.

Guest Experience Attendant

Day in the Life 

The Guest Experience Team supports various roles throughout Playland and the PNE such as ticket sales and redemption, greeting guests upon arrival and scanning tickets, BBQ and birthday hosts, rental and ride photo cashiers, gift card sales, site roamers, plaza support, ticket resolution, answering questions, providing site information, and so much more! Excellent customer service and communication is at the forefront of all we do! Successful candidates will learn 2-3 positions during their first year at Playland with an opportunity for additional learning and development in subsequent seasons.

Outgoing, energetic, engaging, understanding, empathetic, proactive and kind. Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, sound judgment. Pleasant and friendly demeanour with a commitment to excellent customer service.

Special Requirements

Previous experience in a customer service role is an asset, ability to stand for long periods of time

Day in the Life

Greet Playland BBQ guests in a welcoming friendly manner. Setup BBQ Buffet and fill up with the variety of food items ordered, refill as needed in a tamily manner. Be aware of inventory monitoring if items are running low and need to be re-orderd. Maintenance of the BBQ areas following food safety standards. Colaborate with other team members to ensure a timely service. Reset or tear down buffet lines after each service.

Colaborate with other team members to ensure a timely service.

Day in the Life

Greet guests and operate all rides and attractions in a safe, friendly and professional manner. You will ensure each of our guests are provided with a safe ride by adhering to all safe operating guidelines. As a part of enusring guest safety, you will enforce and communicate all ride and attraction rules to our guests.

Core Candidate Requirements

Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to enforce safety policies in a professional manner. Must be friendly, mature, accountable, responsible, and committed to positive guest interactions.

Special Requirements
